Looking to get involved in the Australian and New Zealand accounting education community? Here are a list of great events in 2018

February:
CPA Australia has begun hosting an Emerging Academics Forum in Melbourne each year for new academics. Check with your Head of Department for information as CPA usually invites participants through universities.

June:
SERGE – Student Engagement Research Group at Otago University will be holding its inaugural Symposium on June 28, 2018. The event will also be Live Streamed – check out the SERGE website link above for details.

July:
The Accounting and Finance Association of Australia and New Zealand (AFAANZ) has an Accounting Education Special Interest Group which meets prior to the annual conference each year – you can find out more on their website. The main AFAANZ conference also accepts papers to the main conference on Accounting Education. The 2018 SIG will be held on Saturday 30th June with the theme “Accounting and the senses”. November:
RMIT hosts the Accounting Educators Conference with the date of Monday 19 November in 2018. Follow this link to the call for papers and registration information.

AFAANZ will host an Accounting Educators Technology workshop on Tuesday 20th November, also in Melbourne. Details and registration here. It follows on from the RMIT Accounting Educators Conference – these are a great pair of conferences to attend
